These terms describe Aldyr's SMS messaging program — what messages we send, how you sign up, and how to stop receiving messages at any time.
Program Description
Aldyr is a home management platform that helps homeowners track their home's systems, maintenance history, and service providers. When you enable SMS notifications, Aldyr may send text messages about:
- Appointment reminders — confirmations and day-of alerts when a service provider is scheduled
- Maintenance reminders — e.g., “Your HVAC filter is due for replacement”
- Warranty expiration alerts — advance notice before coverage lapses
- Emergency notifications — urgent alerts related to your home's critical systems
- High-value activity alerts — notifications when Aldyr detects significant quotes or invoices in your connected accounts
- Seasonal home care tips and time-sensitive service reminders
- Phone number verification — a one-time confirmation message when you add your mobile number
All SMS messages from Aldyr are transactional notifications related to your home. We do not send promotional or marketing messages via SMS.
How to Opt In
SMS notifications are disabled by default. There are three ways to opt in:
- In conversation with Aldyr — When you schedule a service appointment, set a maintenance reminder, or configure emergency alerts, Aldyr may offer to send you text updates. If you provide your phone number in response, you are opting in to SMS notifications for that activity and related home alerts.
- From a dashboard prompt — Aldyr may surface a notification card on your home dashboard when a time-sensitive event would benefit from a text alert. Tapping “Add Mobile Number” and entering your phone number opts you in.
- In account settings — Go to Settings → Notifications, enter your mobile phone number, and enable SMS notifications.
Regardless of how you provide your number, Aldyr will send a single verification message to confirm it:
“Hi, this is Aldyr, your home's intelligence layer. Reply YES to confirm this number. I will only text you for maintenance, appointments, and emergencies. No spam, ever.”
Your number is not active for SMS until you reply YES to this message. Your consent is not required to purchase or use Aldyr — SMS notifications are an optional feature.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your home's systems, maintenance schedule, and notification preferences. Most users receive 2–10 messages per month. Messages are only sent between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM in your local time zone.
You can adjust the types of notifications you receive at any time from Settings → Notifications.
How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time:
- Reply STOP to any Aldyr SMS message to immediately unsubscribe from all SMS notifications. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message.
- In-app: Go to Settings → Notifications and toggle SMS notifications off.
To re-subscribe after opting out, reply START or YES to a previous Aldyr message, or re-enable SMS in your account settings and re-verify your phone number.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan's SMS and data charges.
Carrier Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier's network availability and coverage.
Privacy
Your phone number and SMS data are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Aldyr uses Twilio to deliver SMS messages. Your phone number is sent to Twilio solely for message delivery. Twilio does not use this data for marketing.
